Dr. Rebecca "Becky" Hosey, DC, MS, PA-C

Hello! My name is Becky and I'm both a medical professional, and patient with chronic disease.

As a licensed physician assistant and chiropractor, I have years of clinical experience in the fields of pain medicine and psychiatry. I thought I understood my patients, but the truth is that I didn't get it, until I got it.

In 2015, I was stricken with severe symptoms, and stood astonished to encounter so many unexpected barriers to receiving medical care, and even experienced the phenomenon known as medical gaslighting. I wondered how those more disadvantaged than myself are successful navigators of our health system.

This was the very spark that ignited my advocacy career. In the midst of my own illness, I was compelled to help guide others seeking medical care, and impact health providers to do better.

A life-long learner myself, in addition to clinical work, I have also held various academic positions at both the graduate, and undergraduate levels. I regularly speak in the general public, and medical communities. In my commitment to medical excellence, I have shared my story at numerous educational institutions, as well as at professional conferences throughout the country. My advocacy platform has also taken me to Washington D.C. and local legislative meetings in New York.

I was diagnosed with Sjögren's Disease in 2015, and stage four endometriosis in 2021. I live in Upstate New York with my wife, our teen son, and Havanese puppy.
